Loving What I Do

has never been so easy with the fabulous new stamp bundle, Love What You Do.

The Love what you do stamp set is truly awesome. I love all the images on this stamp set. I've only play with a couple of the stamps from this set so far but love them. Paired with the Share What you love DSP, some truly amazing cards can be created. The paper is absolutely gorgeous and I almost hesitated in cutting it up (I tend to hoard DSP) but I'm learning to over that.
Here is one of the cards I made using this set.  I hope you like it as much as I do. I did use the sentiment from Perrennial Birthday.

Onstage Fort Worth 2018

I finally got to attend my first Onstage that was held in Fort Worth, Texas.

I had an amazing time and there was so much to see and people to meet. One of the things I enjoyed the most was being able to swap cards/card fronts with other demos. I came away with a great new friend from Texas named Trish.

This is a picture of just a few of those cards. So many ideas I want to try. I can hardly wait for the next Onstage local to attend.

We got some fabulous new stamps sets, embellishments and some great business tip.s Really motivated me to try to advance to silver elite.

April Stamping Retreat

The first retreat for this year is coming up in April.
Attachment_2.png
It will still be held at the NRAWC but this time we are going to try a cabin. There is less space but the amenities are far superior including the fact the cabin is on a flat surface. We won’t have to worry about carrying our prized possessions up stairs.

Cant wait to see everyone.

Onstage Fort Worth 2018

I finally had the opportunity to attend my first Onstage!
The experience is one I will never forget and I can see how addicting attending is going to be. As Saturday morning came and it was time the leave to get to registration, I admit I was pretty nervous. I was going in alone into a sea of 600 demonstrators. As soon as I got off the escalator, I saw my team mates waving at me to join them. HUGE relief as I was no longer alone.
When we checked in, we got a beautiful bag with goodies inside and a box that contained a light box. Once the new catalog was passed out amid cheers of excitement , you could have heard a pin drop in the room since it became so silent. As the day went on we got more goodies to place in our bag. We got to work with new stamp sets by doing 4 make and takes. Swapping cards with other demonstrators was super fun and I came home with so many beautiful cards for inspiration.
By the end of the day, my little goody bag was quite full. I met amazing new people and came home with a friendships I never would have had. Stampin' Up! sure knows how to throw a party and treat their demos well. I can't wait to attend the next one!
If you get a chance to go, Don't pass it up!

Love stamping with friends

I love stamping with friends. You get to spend hours in conversation, laughter and it’s a great way to share new ideas.
We had so much fun last Sunday and it always amazes me on how it is so much easier to get the ideas in your head to paper and a cardstock. It’s always a great way to learn new techniques from others and then add your own creativity to it. We managed to create 4 cards and learn two new techniques but most of all, the time spent with friends is priceless, here are the cards we made.

NRAWC Event

I am so excited to be planning my second annual event at the NRA Whittington Center.   These are just a few of the gorgeous pictures of the area I took on a recent outing so I could share them with you.
I have made housing arrangements and am waiting on the Chef to quote me a price for meals for the weekend. There will be 10 spots open for the weekend for accommodations. You can stay the weekend or just join us on Saturday for a fun filled day.
There will be several games, door prizes and projects for us to make. I hope to you will join us for a super fun weekend.  I will be creating an event page on Facebook once the final arrangements are done and will include more information there.

Welcome Home

Working with this bundle is so much fun and the set is so versatile. I used the Brick Wall  embossing folder to create the background. Before embossing the whisper white card stock I inked the folder with smoky slate in and then ran it through the big shot machine.

The door was stamped in archival black ink so I could use the blender pens to color in the door using Night of Navy ink. Then I ran the stamped image through the big shot to cut the door and the door opening. The welcome mat was using the Pretty label punch and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I heat embossed the welcome sign on the bottom with white embossing powder.

I stamped the flowers, the bush and the light fixture with archival black ink and colored them with the watercolor pencils. To finish the card I added my address over the top of the door.

The finished card was attached to Night of Navy card stock.
