Love stamping with friends

I love stamping with friends. You get to spend hours in conversation, laughter and it’s a great way to share new ideas.
We had so much fun last Sunday and it always amazes me on how it is so much easier to get the ideas in your head to paper and a cardstock. It’s always a great way to learn new techniques from others and then add your own creativity to it. We managed to create 4 cards and learn two new techniques but most of all, the time spent with friends is priceless, here are the cards we made.

NRAWC Event

I am so excited to be planning my second annual event at the NRA Whittington Center.   These are just a few of the gorgeous pictures of the area I took on a recent outing so I could share them with you.
I have made housing arrangements and am waiting on the Chef to quote me a price for meals for the weekend. There will be 10 spots open for the weekend for accommodations. You can stay the weekend or just join us on Saturday for a fun filled day.
There will be several games, door prizes and projects for us to make. I hope to you will join us for a super fun weekend.  I will be creating an event page on Facebook once the final arrangements are done and will include more information there.

Welcome Home

Working with this bundle is so much fun and the set is so versatile. I used the Brick Wall  embossing folder to create the background. Before embossing the whisper white card stock I inked the folder with smoky slate in and then ran it through the big shot machine.

The door was stamped in archival black ink so I could use the blender pens to color in the door using Night of Navy ink. Then I ran the stamped image through the big shot to cut the door and the door opening. The welcome mat was using the Pretty label punch and the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I heat embossed the welcome sign on the bottom with white embossing powder.

I stamped the flowers, the bush and the light fixture with archival black ink and colored them with the watercolor pencils. To finish the card I added my address over the top of the door.

The finished card was attached to Night of Navy card stock.

Keurig Coffee Tray with Coffee Cafe Bundle

I will post general directions here on the template to help with placement of designer series paper and cutting the template. Watching the youtube video will help with construction. Keuring K Cup Tray
Coffee Café Keurig K Cup Tray
2 sheets of cardstock 8 ½ x 11 for a double tray
1 sheet of cardstock 8 ½ x 11 for a single tray
Designer series Paper sizes needed
4 1/4 x 2" for top of tray. You will need one for each tray. Use corner rounder on 1 long side.
For the top of tray section and the second section in diagram you will need to cut 2 pieces at 4 1/4 x 1 7/8.
Side panels are 2 x 1 7/8. You will need 2 if you do a single tray or 2 pieces 4 1/4 x 1 7/8 for the long sides is you do trays.
Scraps of cardstock to cut coffee cup and and ink of your choice for stamping the sentiments.

Place the cardstock on your score board with the 11inch side at the top. Score at 4", 6 1/4", 8 ¼" and 10 ½.
Turn cardstock so 8 ½" is on top and score at 2" and 6 ½".

Cut of 4 corners so your card stock will look like template.
Miter inside square on each side. Burnish all score lines to the mountain side. You will be adding your DSP as shown in the template. Corner round the top large flap. You will need to punch holes on the flap directly under the tap with the score tape on it. I used the 1 ¾ circle framelit. See video on how to cut. Link posted above.
Flip template over and apply DSP to large top flap. Fold box to shape with the larger flap on top and and close box.

I hope this helps with your project. For any questions or help with any part of this project, contact me at mountmisters@gmail.com
